22/11/17 About 1 minute
If you are looking for childcare or something fun and active for your children to do over the Christmas holiday, don't worry, help is at hand! Chelmsford City Council's series of Get In! Skills Clinics and Active Fun sessions will ensure there's never a dull moment.

Children aged between two and eight can get into the Christmas excitement with Santa's Grotto Xmas Party on Friday 22 December. Held at Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Club, the grotto will feature a bouncy castle, fun games, soft play and art and crafts, which will increase the festive fun. Children will have the opportunity to make their own decorations and ornaments, personalise a festive mug and make their own Christmas stocking. The grotto opens at 10.30am and closes at noon and costs £7 for the session. Children under five must be accompanied by an adult.

Chelmsford Sport and Athletics Club will be hosting an athletics performance training camp on Friday 22 December from 10am to 1pm. The camp will be a fantastic opportunity for children of eight years and older to master sprints/block starts, long jump, high jump, endurance running and physical conditioning, all under the guidance of highly experienced professional coaches. Spaces on the camp cost £15 per child. The club will also be offering various trampolining sessions on Thursday 21 December, which will cost between £4.50 and £9.

South Woodham Ferrers Leisure Centre will be having fun pool inflatables for children aged between eight and 16. The pool sessions will run on Thursday 21 December 2pm to 3pm, Sunday 24 December 11.30am to 12.30pm and on Sunday 31 December at 11.30am to 12.30pm. Each session cost £5 per child and the children need to be confident swimmers. The Leisure Centre will also be hosting a Tot's Tramp and Bounce session on Thursday 21 December, where children up to the age of five can experience the joy of bouncy castes and trampolines. The session will run from 10am to 11am and costs £4.50 per child.

For all of the Christmas holiday activities there are early bird discounts available for all bookings made before Tuesday 5 December. Childcare vouchers are accepted for all of the Get In! activities.

Riverside Ice and Leisure Centre will also be running a range of Get In! City Camps over the festive period. To find out more about all of the Get In! holiday activities please visit: http://www.chelmsford.gov.uk
