The award-winning 3foot People Festival - the UK’s largest outdoor festival exclusively for pre-school children - is returning to Chelmsford this summer for their biggest year yet.

Three days of fun will descend onto the scenic grounds of Hylands Park on 26, 27 and 28 June. This hugely popular event will be welcoming over 14,000 pre-school children, parents and carers who can expect to be overwhelmed with wonder as they experience this truly unique festival.
A major new agricultural dealership – which will give Writtle University College students access to the latest machinery and technology as well as insight into a successful land-based business - is taking shape.
On 29 April, a large number of children are taking part in a special service at Chelmsford Cathedral from 15.30 to celebrate the Commonwealth.
Spring has officially sprung at Writtle University College (WUC)!

The campus has been brought to life in recent weeks with the arrival of daffodils, lambs and now our first foal of the season.
Writtle University College has further enhanced its specialist canine facilities by building day-boarding kennels on-campus.

The University College, near Chelmsford, has invested £85k in the 16 single and four double kennels in support of its newly-launched Canine Therapy degree* and its canine-related courses in Veterinary Physiotherapy and Veterinary Nursing.

A city play area has been awarded special status as it has been adapted for disabled children and wheelchair users.
The Adventure Castle play area in Hylands Park is now officially accredited by PiPA, also known as Planning Inclusive Play Areas.
Work is now officially underway on the county’s first ever all-through school at Beaulieu in Chelmsford.

Construction on the new £34million school started following a ground-breaking ceremony at the site yesterday.
