Sounds of Summer at Hylands

Hylands Estate Chelmsford, is hosting four fantastic evenings of live music performed in the open air setting of The Stables.

Jordan & The Gigolos
Wednesday 5 July

We kick off with Chelmsford’s own Jordan Marsh and the most swingin’ little big band around! Jordan has sold out Ronnie Scott’s numerous times, see Jordan and his full band play a storming set of Jump Blues, Swing and Boogie Woogie. Expect to hear original material, plus a quirky twist on well-known covers from artists such as Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis and many more.

ChangesTwoBowie
Thursday 6 July

A tribute to the music of David Bowie. ChangesTwoBowie with Tony Perry perform hits from the last five decades in the style of 90s Bowie. With all recent Essex gigs sold out this is a fabulous chance to see them. ChangesTwoBowie deliver Bowie's fantastic and diverse catalogue with graceful accuracy. A must for all Bowie fans.

Elvis
Friday 7 July

Pete Storm presents Elvis Presley at his Las Vegas peak. The show will recreate the 'That's the Way it is' and Elvis on Tour' period. Pete Storm is a Multi Award Winning World Champion Elvis Presley Tribute Artist. He is highly regarded as one of the best Elvis tribute artists in the World. Pete has been performing a spectacular and heartfelt tribute to Elvis Presley for over 10 years and has meticulously studied his craft to present the best Elvis show.

Classic Sinatra
Saturday 8 July

Ian Gallagher delivers the most accurate and authentic rat pack. From his starring West End roles to his performances at Buckingham Palace and The London Palladium no other act comes close to recreating that Sinatra and Rat Pack ambience. The show entitled, Kings of Swing, brings Vegas to Chelmsford.

There will be a bar and catering for guests to purchase food and drinks pre and during the event. Tickets for these seated performances are selling quickly, so book early to avoid disappointment.

Chelmsford City Council is asking residents to take part in the annual Rocket O’Clock scheme. The scheme asks people to be considerate of others when holding their own firework displays.
You can only report a missed collection within 24 hours of your collection day. If your collection is on a Friday, you can report a missed collection on the following Monday.

Work is now officially underway on the county's first ever all-through school at Beaulieu in Chelmsford.
