Figures published from organisations such as Action on Elder Abuse show that 500,000 older people are abused in the UK each year. This is a frightening and shocking statistic when it is quite apparent that too many perpetrators are not being caught or convicted.
The Blue Falcons Gymnastic Display Team was founded in 1974 by retired Team Manager Mick Ford, (now run by retired senior gymnast Gary 'Bouncing Bomb' Steggall) and consists of students from Year 6 up to adults.

Rivenhall Airfield was first known as USAAF Rivenhall (formally as USAAF Station AAF-168. The airfield had the Station Code 'RL' and it was first inhabited by the USAAF 363rd Fighter Group of the US 9th Air Force, and it was later occupied by the 397th Bombardment Group. The 9th Air Force moved to the airfield in January 1944, and fully left in October 1944.

After receiving support from HRCC following her breast cancer diagnosis, Ruth Gilbey decided to raise money for the Essex-based charity with #RuthsPlaylist. The playlist is made up of songs suggested by the public in return for a donation, and it will be played to Ruth's surgeon during her mastectomy surgery next year.
Recently in Chelmsford there has been an influx of different restaurants offering a multitude of different cuisines, however takeaways have been mainly limited to kebabs, pizza, chinese and indian. When I heard that Mudith Mathanga had started up a business offering Sri Lankan cuisine I was intrigued to try it.
