The recall follows a notification from the Food Standards Agency (FSA), which described the product as a “possible health risk” for allergy sufferers.
Aldi has asked customers who purchased the affected packets — regardless of best-before date — to return them to any store for a full refund.
The supermarket apologised, acknowledging the product “did not meet our normal high standards.”
Health officials are urging anyone with nut allergies who may have purchased the products to check their pantry and avoid consumption. If you have one of the affected packs, return it to store for a refund — or dispose of it.
