Police teams in both districts are encouraging residents, local businesses, charities and schools to donate new, unwrapped gifts for children from newborn up to 17 years old. Gifts can be dropped off at local police stations, or ordered online and delivered directly, making donation as simple and convenient as possible.
In previous years the response has been overwhelming. The kindness and generosity of Essex communities has helped provide thousands of presents to children who might otherwise have nothing under the tree.
This year, Essex Police is again working with district social-care partners to identify the most vulnerable children and ensure that donated gifts reach the right homes before Christmas. Whether it’s a toy, game, book or small treat, every gift helps make Christmas brighter for a child in need.
If you’d like to make a donation you please visit Chelmsford Police Station, New Street, Chelmsford CM1 1NF.
Let’s show that in Essex, no child is forgotten this Christmas.
