Essex & Suffolk water have advised that emergency repairs are required in Crows Lane in Chelmsford.
Water is expected to be restored by 2.45pm.
Update from Essex and Suffolk Water at 3.30pm:
"Work is on-going but the repairs are taking longer than planned. We expect the work to be complete by 5pm.
"We appreciate your patience during this work."
Update: 4.30 pm:
Repairs in Crows Lane are complete, and the water is back on!
