The experience, titled “Chill Out With The Goats”, combines guided breathwork, sound healing and goat interactions in what organisers describe as a calming and restorative session designed to reduce stress and anxiety.
The sessions are being led by wellness instructor Cary-Anne at Blackwater Alpacas & Pygmy Goats.
During the event, participants take part in gentle Pranayam breathwork while friendly pygmy goats wander freely among the group, creating what organisers call a “goaty fun” atmosphere.
After the breathwork session, visitors can enjoy goat cuddles and photo opportunities before moving into a deeply relaxing sound bath experience designed to help calm the nervous system and encourage mindfulness.
The full experience lasts around 75 minutes and is aimed at adults and children aged seven and above when accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers say no previous wellness or meditation experience is required.
Animal-assisted wellbeing events have become increasingly popular across the UK in recent years, with goat yoga, alpaca walks and therapeutic animal sessions attracting people looking for alternative ways to relax and reconnect with nature.
The Essex sessions are set to take place on selected Bank Holiday weekends throughout 2026 and are expected to prove popular with people across Chelmsford, Braintree and the wider county.
Organisers have advised attendees to wear comfortable clothing suitable for sitting and lying on mats, while also warning that the sessions may not be suitable for pregnant participants or people with animal allergies.
