Officers from Essex Police responded swiftly to reports of a large disturbance in the Sawkins Avenue area of Chelmsford on Saturday night, 16th May 2026.
According to the force, the incident was reported at around 9:30pm. Police arrived shortly afterwards and carried out searches of the area for approximately one hour. Officers have since maintained a visible presence in the neighbourhood over the weekend as part of reassurance patrols.
No injuries were reported from the disturbance, and officers stated they were unable to identify any individuals directly involved.
Essex Police have encouraged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
